About Daily Junction
Daily Junction is an independent publication delivering clear, well-sourced news and analysis across technology, business, science, health, world affairs and culture.
Last reviewed
Daily Junction is an independent news and analysis publication, founded in 2024. Our mission is simple: explain the day's most important stories clearly, accurately and without noise — so you finish a piece understanding more than when you started.
We cover a wide range of subjects, from technology and business to science, health, the environment, world affairs and culture. Whatever the topic, we hold ourselves to the same standard: get the facts right, show our sources, and write so anyone can follow along.
What we believe
- Clarity is a form of respect. Jargon and padding waste your time. We lead with the point.
- Sources matter. Where we make a claim, we aim to show where it comes from.
- Independence. Our editorial decisions are our own.
- Usefulness over hype. We would rather be genuinely helpful than merely loud.
Editorial leadership
Daily Junction is led by Marcus Vale, Editor-in-Chief, who is accountable for the editorial standards and integrity of everything we publish, alongside his own reporting as Business & Markets Editor. For the full picture of who publishes Daily Junction and how editorial decisions are made, see our masthead.

How we work
Every article is reviewed before publication. We correct mistakes openly and update stories as facts change, noting when a piece has been revised. To understand our standards in detail, read our editorial policy, our corrections log and how we are funded.
Sources we rely on
Where we report on money, business, health or public policy, we cite primary and independent sources so readers can check our work — among them the Office for National Statistics, MoneyHelper, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Bank of England and GOV.UK.
